A rose for a prince
I have been working with watercolors a lot lately, and I think I am in love with them. The way the pigments flow on the paper with a life of their own, it mesmerizes me and I can get lost on the swirls and blots the paint makes when it touches the wet paper.
I have been gathering lots of paint tubes an pans lately, an imperative from my soul is asking me to try everything I can, so I have been painting a lot.
As you know, I usually paint only female portraits, with the occasional animal in the mix but always in the company of one of my girls. But this time I had something very different in mind.
I started by just applying dabs of color to the paper, and suddenly and without planning the flower started to take form. Once again, my muse was dictating what this was going to be. It is a strange sensation not feeling being the one in control, but it is what it is.
I know better now so I continued working until I felt satisfied, and I am very very pleased with the result. This is a rose worthy of a little prince if I may say so myself.
You can see more pictures, and maybe adopt it from my online store. I am sure she will be very happy to bloom in your lovely company.
