ALICE IN WONDERLAND is one of my favorite stories to read and to make art. The nonsensical nature of Wonderland is incredibly attractive to me, and I love adapting the characters to my own style.
Her face is totally hand sculpted by me, Danita, with beautiful big glass eyes. She looks just like if I took one of my paintings and brought it to the real world.
And her arms and legs are also hand made in my studio, using hand poured ceramics on vintage doll molds used in the early 20th century for real dolls and toys. I'm so lucky to get them and be able to continue with such a beautiful craft.
All in all, it's one of my favorite art dolls, and I really hope that you can adopt her, she will be as delighted as I was when I created it.
