CASSIOPEIA - One of Danita's deep space inspired watercolor portraits
Everyone in the family loves astronomy and sometimes we gather at night with a dusty old telescope and watch the moon and the planets. When we have the chance to visit a really dark sky, looking at galaxies and nebulae keeps us in awe of mother nature's creations.
Inspired by the things I see, I decided to make a few paintings with galaxies and nebulae as inspiration for their hair and faces.
The painting measures 5 x 3 inches on a wood panel, painted using saturated watercolor pigments and my signature melancholic eyes on her face.
Can you can see the beautiful silver dots on her hair? they shine like starts when the light hits them in the right way!
