Doll making is my passion, and whenever I have time and inspiration, I start creating fabric art dolls. This time, simplicity was the key, so I created a set of very simple bodies and challenged myself to dress them in simple clothes.
Everything was going to be simple, except their faces. I loaded them with a lot of expression on their eyes, beautiful facial features with color pencils and cute little mouths.
I hand dyed some lace and cut dresses for them, added a little ribbon and they are ready!
They reminded me of the simple times of my childhood, where I had very little to work with and I used my imagination to get lost in a world of my own making.
I really hope these dolls take you back to your childhood years and remind you the beauty of simplicity when you look at them, they did it for me, and I loved that feeling.
