The Salem witch trials have always fascinated me. The story behind it is full of supernatural and superstitious elements and it's difficult to really tell what was real and what was not.
What I feel to be true is that they were powerful women in their now way, and people afraid of their power sent them to their demise.
This handmade art doll by me, Danita Art, is a homage to those women. The doll measures 8 inches tall, with a head made with air dry clay and a fabric body and clothes.
This witch has a moon pendant hanging from her neck, and a hat with flowers that I made from a vintage mantelpiece I found on a thrift store.
